Fitted RAI tonight . 8) Did'nt Fancy using the rivet nuts for a finish so we removed
the wing and got a nut and washer in behind it and was able to hold with a spanner
Far better fixing IMO.
Looks great .. well impressed with it

You don't muck about do you Barry, when it comes to taking your D3 to bits.
Have you secured the nuts in place?
Cos if the RAI has to come off [ie like mine for a new windscreen], you got to take the wing back off and on again?...... always on the road less travelled 🚧

Ron it was very easy to get the wing off . there is only 5 nuts holding it on and I didnt have to remove the
the front bumper (that would have been a balls , A-Bar , lights etc) , if it ever has to come off it will take about
20Mins , so not to Bad. Having never used a riv nut before and indeed not having that tool that Stu just posted up .
It was my only choice.
To be honest .. I'm not to sure about the Riv-nut .. because the wing panel is so thin I cant see how that
fixing would work .

Raised Air Intake.
LR OEM part. DEsigned to take the air from roof level where there would be less airbourn dust in dusty conditions, like being in convoy.
It is not a snorkel
It just attaches to the air in-take boot and the porous fabric hose and 'religious' rubber hose are still in place.“There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€
