AFT change question

I feel like I am spamming the forum a little, so sorry for that Embarassed

I have just bought 8lt of mannol AG55 for my auto D3 and am wondering the best way to fill the gearbox once I have drained it.

I have read a few guides but still can't get my head around this sorry.
Also how do you add the Dr Tranny?

Thanks
Jim

Oilsafe pumps are the real mutts nutts and make all trans oil changes a doddle, not cheap but Ive had mine for about 10/15 years.

The easiest cleanest way is to search for Filo thread on gearbox oil change, again I used the oilsafe pump pushing the AG55 down the pipe, quick/easy and best of all clean,I measured exactly what came out, put the same amount back in (as a benchmark) then did the proper level check at the right temp etc.

They seam quite pricy. But good if you will do it more than once.

Or for £10 you can fill it half a litre at a time under the car.

Just how much do you value not being under the car pumping oil in Rolling with laughter

Just fill via the top hose on the cooler - see filos guide

I bought a 10L tank with a hand pump on it. Feeling more confident now Smile
Should I add the DR Tranny to the tank with the new oil before I pump it into the radiator?
And should I do this with both the first and 2nd flush?

Id say put it in for the second load only if you need it - Im assuming you are going to run it around a little between first and second fill.

Easy to add later if its needed as you can just add to the top hose

Thumbs Up

I'm thinking that the box has never been flushed so I'm planning on doing at least 2 flushes.
I think I'll take your advice and add it later if neccesarry. It seems you only get one effective dose from some posts so I may see if my problems are cured with just the oil at first.
