Ok ... D4 with DPF is C1 or C2 if you absolutely can't get C1.

The lubrication properties are not very different but it's the ability of the sensors to check status of the oil that is critical.

As long as it's 5w30 I doubt there is any issue with the bearings ... Although I've seen debate on here that 40 would mean more oil sticks to cold bearings.

C3 (HTHS > 3,5) has higher viscous friction than C2 an C2 (both 2,9 < HTHS < 3,5)....

...greater chance of bearings rotations.....

It is not said that it will surely happen (depends on the mounting dimensions/tolerances of the each engine), but it does not seem to be the case to look for the damage ...

... if you can, try to avoid problems

There are 2.7 and 3.0 TDV6 with 400,000, 500,000, 700,000 km (738.000km, one of the first 2.7 RRS here in Italy, neighbour car, engine untouched, 1 turbo, 2 torque converter, 3 set of suspensions, tons of brake disks, pads and fuel)
