Guys - the problem is the chinese copies look exactly the same as the genuine ones - you really cant tell by looking at them, they have the right parts numbers/markings on them, and a scanner at the tyre fitters will pick them up, but the car wont. There must be some coding missing in the signal they send that the car needs. I even tried manual entering the sensor ID, as I said worked for a very short time then TMPS error came back.

I have these on my D4, were on it when I bought it from new.
I have just had my wheels balanced and swopped round from front to rear with the tyre pressures being adjusted by the garage.
After driving some 25 miles and standing overnight I decided to do a check with the dashboard read out and found the readings were all over the place and nothing like they should be.
So out comes my Halfords digital compressor and up or down they go until I get a 'proper' read out.
Drive away, do another 20 miles, let it stand overnight and carry out another check from the vehicle dashboard - lo and behold the numbers read out like a Bingo callers session !!
Later today I intend to visit the garage but then by the time I get to the garage the tyres will be warm so intend to over inflate them from the 34/37 to 37/40 then after standing over night deflate them to the correct pressures.
Anybody else had similar problems with TPMS and dashboard read outs ?

No, even after changing rear pressures when towing the dash readout has picked up the changes correctly
