Warning Light fault -airbag and parking brake illuminated
I have a recurrent warning light fault in my 2009 Discovery 4 HSE. The airbag light, brake warning and yellow triangle and a visual wording of parking brake fault come on pretty much simultaneously. They do not go off when the ignition is turned off although that did occur a few months when the problem began.
I took it to a dealer (it is under warranty) who cleared the fault codes but the fault has now recurred, although not immediately after the clearing. The lights come on at the same time and as far as I can tell, the airbag is ok and the parking brake does work with no noise or any other symptoms. So it seems to be an electrical gremlin affecting an array of lights. The lights are there constantly now.
Has anyone experienced anything similar and does anyone have any idea of the source of the problem. The supplying dealer is some way distant and I want to be sure they fix it and are looking in the right place when I return itBrian - East Sussex

Had a similar fault on my D3.
When I check the fault codes they were all meaningless, I eventually traced the fault to a bad earth in the Aux battery compartment.
Check the connection onto the main earth point onto the inside of the wing. ( same point as the main battery ground point on the other side ). I removed the nut and cleaned the connection.
But the fault could be anywhere.

caused by the seatbelt pre-tensioner module it seems
The car has spent a week at the dealer. I have had an XS Freelander for the time and it's not at all bad but compared with the Disco poorly equipped.
They tell me the pre-tensioner module was faulty, hence the airbag light. Apparently this can affect the handbrake warning (so they say). It will be back shortly so I shall soon be able to test the theoryBrian - East Sussex

Broadsword, did you get to the bottom of this?
I have the same faults you describe, and lr have supposedly replaced a sensor in the seatbelt but I still have the same old lights on the dash!

It was the pre-tensioner module and it was fixed. I do not know where it was located, just took their word for itBrian - East Sussex
