Thanks all for the replies on that one, especially Brian. Sadly I don't have a dash cam and assumed any reporting would just descend into a 'he said she said' type dispute and just be a waste of my time and energy.

However I will report to McDonalds and see what they come back with.

One of my best pals is a hgv driver, and one of his hates is the way some of his counterparts use the trucks as, in his words, weapons.

Wife.

We have security cameras. Just caught her driving off the kerb which she always denies doing. So glad I didn't allow her to have 22in rims and 30 aspect low profile tyres.

Ha ha! My wife went away on business and came back with the door and wing of her Saab 9-5 dented and with blue paint in the scrapes. This happened while her car was in the railway station car-park. Incensed, I got onto the BTP, asking them to review their CCTV. When she overhead this call, she confessed!

There’s something wrong with driving off kerbs?

Maybe I’ve been driving a Disco too long Smile

I always say "ah, poor tyres" when SWMBO drives off kerbs and that's with 16in / 55 aspect ratio tyres. I probably wouldn't say it if she carefully drove off rather than performing the kerb equivalent of an emergency start. Whistle Rolling with laughter

Personal fly-tipping affront.

Put my 2 wheelie bins out earlier this afternoon. One for Garden refuse and one (with only 1small black sack in it) of household rubbish.

Then SWMBO and I went out to get a few bits, stopped and had a nice meal out, getting back around 6.45pm.

While we were out, some ar****le(s) dumped 2 full Royal Mail bags full of rubbish from a solar panel install alongside the our wheelie bins, plus more in the garden waste bin. Obviously the Local Council bin guys won’t take any of that - it’s commercial waste, not household.

We live on a busy B road, and they did this in broad daylight in the middle of the early evening rush hour. Censored No idea why they ignored the other 14 houses that line the road, other than we live nearest to a roundabout, so they probably had to slow down, and just seized the moment.

So here was I, at nearly 80 years of age, in this heatwave, re-packing this rubbish it to make it acceptable for kerb- side collection, and putting the rest in my Disco4 ready for a tip run tomorrow.

Words fail me…….

One of my hates too. There is no need for it, I've been fortunate to have been able to walk away from the "Traffic Desk Facists" who expect you to drive like your rear end was on fire, bully your way through traffic & bend the rules. I always made sure that I had the means to get home should I decide to leave the truck wherever I happened to be.

Best work until I retired (or semi-retired) was for an "upmarket" supermarket chain - no pressure, truck loaded for you, unloading easy & a very well maintained fleet. Just how it should be.
Now, I work part time, on call for the County Council driving a Gritter/Snowplough.

Brian ! how very dare you mention gritters and snowploughs this early in the year!!!

forum etiquette is we have a spate of

"why is there smoke coming out of the nearside front wheelarch ?" questions,

followed by

"I opened the bonnet to see where the smoke was coming from and found a connector just behind the grille. what is it for ?"

BEFORE we get round to snowplough/gritter/wheelie-bin questions.

Report it as fly-tipping. The council may have cameras which would catch the Censored .

You might be surprised: I reported a bus driver for leching at a young girl: the GPS track and the video of the cab had him 'bang to rights' and he was sacked.
