EPB (re)wiring Help
Hi,
Vehicle 06/07 2.7TDi
I have a fault with my EPB/wiring which I am unsure how to resolve.
I have tested continuity between the switch and the connector on the EPB module and only 1 wire appears to have continuity.
Is this the correct way to test the wiring?
I am using the following wiring diagram to test the wiring
I am using the following for switch numbering - taken looking at the back of the switch from right to left
#1 black
#2 red/brown
#3 yellow/green
#4 yellow/blue
#5 yellow
#6 red
If I am testing the wiring correctly, please could someone explain how to run new wiring to the EPB - doesn't have to be too technical, just the steps involved i.e. remove center console, feed cable through existing hole etc
Any help is greatly appreciated.

And another thing!
I also tried to find the connector in the front wheel arch to test to there, but couldn't see it anywhere.
Does anyone have some clear photo's of the offending connector along with the pins I should test?
Thanks again

All sorted now
I worked it out myself in the end.
1 cable had no connectivity.
Realised that the 'SW n' was misleading and didn't refer to pin outs on the connector, just went by wire colour in the end.
Ran the fresh wire through the cabin and out the back via the rear light cluster and then around the chassis.

Thanks. Took most of Sunday (and a lot of swearing at the designers!) but got there in the end.
MoT passed today which is all that really matters as we rarely use the handbrake anyway!
Strange that my 56 plate had no connectors in the front wheel arch, thought it was 07 onwards which threw me at the start.

Ah, that explains why I couldn't find the connector in my wheel arch too when I had the same issue in my 56 plate
Mine was the connector just behind the EPB in the end so all sorted
