Tints

I already have from the B pillar back tinted to midnight/80% but was thinking of tinting the fronts to 20%, the lowest tint called light smoke. Any thoughts, feedback or advice?

Pretty sure that with the slight tint that's already in the glass adding anything would be unlawful
I started off with nothing and Ive still got most of it left.

Only illegal if you get stopped. Then it's a fine and have to remove them before you can drive away

Apparently, mine have been tinted. Only noticed when it was pointed out to me Embarassed

Or involved in serious accident where it could be argued reduced visability due to tints was contributing factor . Not a nice place to be

Wow, just 20% is illegal? I just had mine done at 35% which is the maximum here.

Front's don't look tinted, but they are

Dropping off another D3 on Friday for 5% rears, and a very light tint on the fronts. Not my car, not my choice, but he wants it done Thumbs Up

Something either is illegal, or it isn't. There's no 'slightly', in the same way that it's impossible to be 'slightly dead'. And as far as I know, any sort of aftermarket tinting forward of the B-pillar is illegal.

How does it suddenly become illegal just when you are stopped?

I know tinting the fronts is not legal but I m unlikely to get stopped and I m only thinking of light smoke/20%

Think I ll go for it and see what happens. At the worst if I do get stopped I ll get a HORTE and need to remove it but that's highly unlikely. Take me back to my youth though having to take my MOT and insurance cert to a cop shop Rolling with laughter

^^^^ it's illegal all the time. You only get punished when caught. Just like anything else, murder is illegal all the time too, not just when you get caught! (Somewhat of an exageration, but makes the point). Thumbs Up
