D3-friendly indy - Wrexham, West Cheshire, North East Wales
In anticipation of impending D3 ownership ... can anyone recommend a good indy around north east Wales, west Cheshire, that sort of area, who knows their way around a D3 and can be trusted to do a good job without me needing to remortgage the house every time I visit?! Thanks.

I'm going to be giving this guy (Ian Barclay) a call tomorrow to ask for a price for servicing my D4, came recommended from my very trusted MOT tester, apparently knows LR very well and has full diagnostics.
Must stress - not used him before though. I've decided to see if I can save money on independent servicing as I've decided to keep my disco longer now as I hardly use it any more.

They may be a bit far from you, they are just a mile up the road from me, so that is why i use them but never had an issue with their work, i get a courtesy car, and although not the cheapest, damn sight cheaper than LR dealer

I use this guy very good former Landrover tech and has diagnostic equipment.

Thanks for all the replies so far. Taylors 4x4 aren't very far from me. Sandycroft is even nearer - does Jason have a business name or a website or anything like that? I don't doubt for one moment that he's as good as people say he is, but just a christian name and a mobile number don't exactly scream "established business" to me!

All I can tell you is that he used to work for Hunters in Chester and left to set up on his own...whether he is VAT registered or not, I don't know, website, I don't think so - maybe give him a call and ask him these questions, he's a nice enough guy to speak to.Discovery 4 HSE SDV6

I'm going to give Taylor's a go next week for some cv boots and Arb bushes and see how it goes, they're about 3 miles away from me so it makes a lot of sense to use them.2011 D4 SDV6 HSE

Just to follow up - I had my car picked up last week when I was away with work, work done, dropped off at home the next day with invoice, which I paid a few days later - so they're very trusting! I had no issues, car came back with the work done, a quote for some advisory work and a free wash thrown in. I'll use them again.2011 D4 SDV6 HSE
