Brakes - Discs - Pads - V8 upgrade

I'm sourcing parts for the V8 upgrade. Just bought some new unwanted genuine LR front discs for £50 off eBay. Thumbs Up

Decided to get the carriers here:

http://britishparts.co.uk/products/134935-...-SEH500012
http://britishparts.co.uk/products/134896-...-SXP500014

I'd like to know if the pads used are the same for the V6 diesel and the V8 petrol?

Also as I currently have the V6 diesel pads, I also understand there are some clips and screws that come with the front pads, can I use my old items if these are missing from the pads I get?

Do the rear pads come with other bits?

Hi Tackit, the first link you gave shows a part No for 4'0 V6 carriers, the part number I have from TLO for these is
SEH500013 and they are for the V8 brakes - might be worth clarifying Surprised

You should be able to reuse the ancillaries if in good condition Smile

I believe the pads are identical, yes. Just the discs and caliper carrier brackets that are different. Thumbs Up

Personally, I would always fit new shims for what little they cost (£3?) and you should also get new caliper bolts with your pads (at least you do with LR ones).

as above, if you have ordered SEH500012 then they are for the TDv6 and no good for the v8 upgrade

the pads are the same for both v8 and Tdv6

So if you are upgrading the discs at the front to larger size + larger calipers does that have implications regarding wheel size and space?
Thanks

But the site you have linked to is more expensive at £84.66 with delivery so the £77.18 Amazon deal looks better?

True - I hadn't noticed that they will deliver for 35p - obviously a mistake, but make the most of it.

Sorry to Hijack the thread but I'm in the middle of doing this upgrade and hit a snag. Are the big bolts for the carrier mounting different? The thread seems to be different and I don't want to force them.

EDIT: OK sorted they are the same part number
