I'm on the market for a used D4, budget to be decided but £25-30k probably. I want to know which one to look at in terms of facelift / technology compatibility / know mechanical issues etc. When I bought my D3 HSE I was lucky that the MY2008 I bought seemed to be a major leap forward in spefication so want to know which D4 I should target? 2013 D4 HSE SDV6

MY 2012 with 8 speed gearbox, it has a pop up dial rather than a gear lever, you will see quite a difference in price above and below Joined the BMWX5 45e group

a MY12 8 speed XS is a good spec. Most of the toys (satnav/leather) you'd want, without attracting the daft money being asked for HSEs
