My boss had an unfortunate coming together with a deer recently writing off both his Golf and the deer, and was most unhappy about the settlement figure offered by the insurers until someone said "shame you didnt have gap insurance". light bulb moment, much searching through papers, out pops Gap Insurance. Buns all round at work the next day D4 GS 12MY

I managed to find a GAP insurance policy that allowed a 1 year deferment (fully comp policies usually cover for replacement with new during the first year), 5 additional year's cover (total 6 years) and return to current replacement value (not just RTI) for a new HSE for £380.
Considering that it'll have around 180,000 miles on it at 6 years old, that's a colossal risk they're taking; as has been said earlier, it's definitely worth shopping around for GAP 2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2

He,s bought an FL2 - not sure it that qualifies as half decent D4 GS 12MY

Go for it, load it up. I like all the options. Heated seats, home link, glass roof. Without the new technology update, it's likes diving my old non AC, manual operate window 1968 Dodge Dart in the 70s.

Apart from Paint, it was only the steering wheel I went for, if seats were memory then maybe but aren't so I didn'tJoined the BMWX5 45e group
