Fuel burning heater remote
Can someone please help. My 2015 HSE has a fuel burning heater however I cannot work out how to start it manually. If you go into the menu you can see the button to 'manual heat' but it's not high lighted??
Also where can I buy a remote for the heater and not pay the extortionate price land rover charge?
Many thanks
John

I think you can only do manual heat when the ignition is off, also needs no low fuel warnings and a good battery. If you just open the door and turn on the radio, you should be able to then heat.
As for the remote and fitting guide (Inc activation) I would be interested in this tooSill protection - LED internal lights - LED reverse lights - boot liner - Dog Guard - Rock sliders

Mr Tom, thanks for that. You are right.
Rang Landlrover Portsmouth today about the cost of a remote and the parts guy said he cannot see a listing for it and will have to speak to Landrover UK on Monday?!
Very odd as we were offered it as an extra when we bought the car as the HSE has the FBH fitted as standard.
Bodsy, i have seen that you can retro fit the heaters etc but do you do just the remote?

If you want this done there are several people on this site who can sort it for you. One has replied to your post. Specified from LR this option approaches £1300!
I have had mine dealt with by one of the guys here for a quarter of that price. All-in, no dealings with LR and their obfuscation.

Bodsy did a cracking job retrofitting the aerial and remote needed for the FBH in my HSE. Did a great job and is a nice bloke with more mud on his disco that you find in the average field!

I wasn't going to mention names as the main players have reputations that go before them. Geoff did mine at the Peterborough show last year. Prior to that Adrian Wiggs enabled several options on my previous D3. I saved myself lots of cash using Bodsy's brake bible and Flack has never hesitated to offer help on this forum.
These guys are really nice to meet and totally useful with collective knowledge of the marque that would threaten even the better Dealerships.

I must be being a bit of a muppet here.
Connected everything up. Pressed the 'Off' between 2 and 5 seconds after connecting receiver and i think the receiver recognises the blipper as when you press 'on' it goes green and then flashes green once every couple of seconds but the heater does not flash up.
My car is a Disco 4 with a factory fitted heater which works fine when using timer or manual via the display screen, so am i missing anything?
