United Kingdom 2010 LR4 3.0 SDV6 HSE Auto Zermatt SilverLR4

Given the amount of glazing in the discovery I think it's essential. In summer it would just be a nightmare.

Most of my last few cars have had it and on those without it has awful in the summer sun.

The exception to the rule is coupe's, all windows should match

For me it isn't a matter of cosmetics so much as functionality - I wouldn't be without it.

You want to try it here in the Queensland summer sun. Wasn't a very warm day yesterday, only about 32degC or so, and I was using SDD to clear a fault. The interior temperature was recorded as 55degC, half in the shade, half out (must clear some of the crap out of the garage Whistle ) , all 4 windows and the driver's door open. That is with tinted glass, which is not quite as dark as the privacy glass you guys have (which would be illegal here).

I reckon the disco looks like a big greenhouse without it. Too much glass.

I wouldn't have a Disco without it but it has to be factory fitted.

Having said that my other half says it looks like a van.....cheeky mare.

SDV6 Auto obviously, Loire blue/Ebony, ugly kid glass, RLD wheel protector, private plate and maybe side steps.

I went years disliking privacy glass until I bought a car that had it. I now wouldn't be without it.

A big car, like a Disco, can look a little like a conservatory on wheels without it. Just my opinion though...

+ 1

Keeps the dogs in the back cooler in the sun. Stops thieves seeing in. Also looks better on the Disco I think.

Having said which it can make some cars look like Censored

I went for smoke rather than privacy, could probably have gone a touch darker but didn't want limo dark.

I always think a high spec D3/4 with no privacy glass looks like the options have all been skimped on.

Yes, it has to be factory fitted. I have seen some terrible aftermarket jobs.
