Good info but is the badging any different on base models, i'm assuming S, SE, HSE models have that badging on the rear door?

I think the manual gearbox is strong and reliable. Unfortunately there is some evidence to suggest that the clutches and dual mass flywheels aren't.
As said earlier the easiest way to tell a coiler is the absence of the terrain response knob. In the UK they will usually be badged 'S', although 'S' models were also available with air (and always with 7 seats if they had air).
