I believe in use it or lose it. EPB all the time, low range weekly, off road and access height weekly. There are two rules for success,
1. Never tell everything you know.

the epb I use a few times a week, usually when parking on a hill for same reason as red merle.
low range and air suspension are used on a daily basis Just remember:-

I use it all the time. My current car has never had any issues with the epb. Previous D3 was also perfect in the EPB department. My first D3 was a bloomin nightmare with the EPB!
My theory is that nobody, including the dealers knew how to adjust it properly in the early days. Once the module has 'performed' a screamer, its weakened and will always be prone to it.
If you get a screamer, or the car creeps forward when the EPB is on, stop using it and get it adjusted properly.

Use it at every set of lights if I'm going to be sitting for over 10 seconds.
Only screeched when clogged with mud and once due to the new shoe kit I had fitted, seizing up and causing issues.
Had it set up properly, rewound the brass rod and adjusted to have smooth operation.
Not comfortable leaving 2.7plus tons testing on a small bit of metal when in park.
I park up, shift to neutral, apply epb then slide to park.
Everytime I park it comes on. Had an issue not long after I bought it (6 years) and was sorted under warranty and once about 3 years ago when it did a little scream. Adjusted and its been fine ever since.
I've changed the shoes once, just because I thought after 100k miles (At least) they hadn't been changed and looked a little shabby.Mark.

How do you excercise the low range as this is the one I rarely use?D4 HSE Lux MY16 Club Waitomo

Stick it in low range and drive it a bit - will do over 30 in low box, so not an issue around town.Mark.

Thanks I have done that a few times but was worried about damaging it at speed or high revs but I only usually do it two or three times a year so when I saw weekly thought I'd better check D4 HSE Lux MY16 Club Waitomo

Low range also gives the EPB a bit of a workout. Indeed, one of the first things I do after servicing the EPB is to select low range.
