I think the Zanzibar looks fine! I'd want it with Almond interior though.

This was the problem I faced, but luckily I found an HSE Lux that was already built. ISTR if you want light leather you have to have a wooden steering wheel too DS3 TDV6 HSE - Silver with Alpaca (old one) Gone

If your having doubts, I'd leave it. My main problem would be having an end of run car. I've done it on a D3 to D4 and regretted it ever since and that's why I waited for an Ingenium engined DS. I would have gone D5 myself, but I suspect the effect on D4 prices will be disproportionate and I am as well getting shot of it now, much as I love the car.

There is a rule in our household:
Discoveries are BLUE
RangeRovers are GREEN
Fiats are RED
Mercedes are SILVER.
Cars get referred to by colour which helps my dementia when I can't remember what they are called! My vote for BLUE!!
PS Our Shogun is Bronze - its a nice colour and I'm sure the D4 would be too. Haven't got a rule for Shogun's though... Not sure why as it is always the 'Brown car'

Thanks everyone
Seems like im not the only one having the problem with the frankly no choice colours
I didnt think of it like Duracell battery though
Ive had enough of grey - i would have had scotia if that was an option, i suppose grey has its advantages. I need a change. Silver (was the colour) but its too like grey to be honest
White doesnt do it for me on a disco, plus again i would like a change.
Black - just no, so many reasons! dark blue is just like black, unless its really sunny and clean

But yeah, I can see it's a bit of a marmite colour.
this is the best description and the problem...and the problem when it comes down to selling it
Quote:
just think about the resale - how many people are going to want an obsolete (D4 vs D5) gold 4x4. Not many or if they do it will have to be very very cheap.
this really worries me but then will the same want a 5-10k more D5?
At least im not thinking of the tan interior

The problem with asking other people is that they say what they want - I think the tan interior is stunning!
Personally I would wait for the D5 FWIW.2014MY Discovery

Thanks
Its been changed to silver!
The importance of people's opinion gives the guage about how it will sell and thats the important bit, if 70% dont like it then its dead before it starts.
If you have Tan then you have wood too - which im not as its ebony and gloss black.
I have at least 1 new LR a year, sometimes 2, so waiting for the D5 isnt an option as ill need mine gone, for that and a number of reasons. The d5 wont be ready until about December, even then there are other factors, so by the time i change this, the D5 will be effectively new and ready anyway.
I looked at a DS and it was going to be more than a D4, plus the latest engine is pants, the dash is in the way of my leg and its about as big as my brief case, one dog fills it - so that was out!
i hope/suspect the d5 will help d4 prices as the d5 will be more - LR dont release a car for less!!
The last choice is to have vision assist or just surround cameras again
5 weeks to goMike

You can't go wrong with silver, always looks good, keeps clean and is a popular colour at re-sale. Arthur.
Comedy was a horse, Harvey a dog, both sadly gone. Thought I was choosing a password!

Zanzibar is nice on the Evoque, if its the same shade, it's not as orange in the flesh its more brown.
I like a blue car though.23.5MY Defender 90 X-Dynamic SE D250 MHEV Pangea Green

Goes to show there are lots of people on here with no taste. I would have one just so it wasn't one of the shades of grey that most manufacturers offer.
Mind you I'm not a fan of the brown seats. Give me tan or black any day.

I think the Royal Ramily agree with this and wonder if that's why the Discovery comes in Buckingham Blue and Ranger Rovers in Westminster Green?

The Zanzibar is a bit different, you won't see many of them about. It isn't objectionable to me, but it does border on being a bit 'try hard', in my humble view.
I'd take the Corris Gray or the black, which means for you, grey.
