Good news your sorted. I might be too. I put it all back together and test drove it just to find the brake disc getting really hot again. Was able to rule out the handbrake due the where the heat was coming from so have changed the calliper. Seems ok now. Although I'm sill worrying about every little noise. D3 V8 HSE

Just adding another option to anyone reading this thread - rubber donut that supports the centre of the rear propshaft. Mine perished and created a rumble / judder when accelerating, especially under load. Easy to mistake the judder for TC issues, but dismissed as the revs were stable. Early warning of the propshaft issue was a feint "drumming" sound at 40mph which I missed initially. 2005, TDV6 S, Auto, 190k miles, owned from new, V8 Brake Upgrade, Nancom Evo, RLD protector, BAS EGR blanking & Remap, separate ATF cooler, changing all the fluids ahead of time.
