Fuel consumption is turning out to be a nice surprise....
Moving up from an FL2, fuel consumption was a big concern - especially when I drive around 30-35,000 miles a year AND pay for my own fuel!
Living and working in Devon and Cornwall, it's pretty easy to avoid traffic, but there are a lot of hills and a fair amount of country lane driving. My old FL2 SD4 auto averaged around 31-32 mpg. I was expecting a big hit - something like 25 ish.
Okay, it's early days with only 2,100 miles in just over three weeks, but it's settling down to around 30 to very nearly 31mpg; now that's a shock, but a nice one!
I think I've got lucky, the big lazy V6 and the 8 speed auto really suit my driving style as it works brilliantly at low revs with a gentle throttle
I had no complaints about the 2.2D in the old FL2, but I'd hate to go back to it now!2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2

Combination of motorways, dual carriageways, A and B roads and country lanes; very little town driving and hardly any jams. Driving smoothly and economically, but getting there no more slowly than I did in the FL2.2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2

The FL2's readings were taken from the trip computer which I'd previously tested brim to brim over two tank fills, where it proved to be within 0.2mpg of the trip computer.
The D4 has been taken from the trip computer, but it's actually going very slightly further between refills (when compared to the FL2) than the 10 litre increase in capacity would lead me to expect, so it seems about right.2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2

Try logging the acual fuel use through something like the RoadTrip app, will give you the proper numbers to compare against the trip. You can then figure out the correction to apply via an IID so you get real numbers.

And one more thing, the AdBlue tank shows that I still have 14,600 miles left and it gets re-filled for free at each of the first 3 services, so I won't even have to pay for any of that until it's 2 years old.
Overall, very pleased wit the results 2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2

I've a strange feeling that I've just had my number discounted as not being proper, or real! 2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2

Glad to hear that's it's no just me then
Mind you, I'm under no illusion; if I were to use all of the performance all of the time, I'd be lucky to see 20! 2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2
