I used the LR parts for my 2012 D4
Following a lot of advice from other forum members I wrote up a brief installation guide here.
Early D4s, I am told, have the receiver connector located a bit further forward than on later models and you have to remove the rear o/s trim panel in the load bay to locate it.
ok. thanks.
have 2 left hands when it comes to these things.
Where can I get the parts? directly from LR?
Then play safe and get a sponsor to do it for you, Geoff is in Kent so probably the closest to you Altox GSM FBH controller thread

Got a question about this, when I've used the remote for a test I get to the car and it is warm inside but the engine temperature gauge is still at the bottom. Should it go to the middle as part of the warming the engine block function? One thing is I have only ever remembered to run it for 10 minutes before driving, do I just need to let it run for longer?
The other question is turning it off, I assumed that once you start the car and drive off it would automatically turn off but the remote light still flashes so I switch it off manually. Is it supposed to work this way?

for 10 minutes..... just switch it on earlier so it runs for the full 20-30 minutes.
It wont raise the temperature to normal, probably about a 1/4 if you are lucky, but its amazing the difference it makes. Bodsys Brake Bible

Ok I'll run it longer to get it hotter. How efficient is it though, is it like running the engine on idle for 20-30 minutes? If it isn't very efficient I'll just put the heated seats on and let the engine warm from driving.
