Any VAT registered technician can do warranty work and you do not have to buy parts directly from LR either to keep the warranty either.
Picking a good garage or technician is the key bit. When the wife's MX5 needed a new gearbox under warranty it never saw the inside of a Mazda garage.

That is the part only price, not fitted price. I can do it easily enough, had headlamps and grille off old D4 a few times, but at this level will put it through insurance as its more than the annual premium on that vehicle and I have protected NCD.

Ok, if you are not bothered about the price then you can buy from anywhere. Mistakenly I thought you were looking for the cheapest price.

Well I was when i started, but now its so far above the excess of £250 there seems little point in forking out IMO. The vehicle is less than 3 months old, if it was older i'd go down the breakers route.

Remember that a protected NCB has a set number of lives and does not prevent them from increasing your premium as you have had a claim. Their job is to take money off you and give it to shareholders.Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948

Agreed, be careful. They may protect the % no claims discount, but there's nothing to stop them from putting the pre NCD price up by 50% or more. Also, if you need to go to market next time, other insurers may not be be very understanding about the fact that you've made a claim, full NCD or not...2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2

Quite a good price. However, seems to be a couple of cracks in bottom r/h corner, and a little crazing in the perspex left of centre?
@Moo, not sure what the oven trick is? Due to house renovations at the moment, we only have an aga. Not sure I want to risk that
Fair points about the insurance, I have asked the question and they said it wouldn't effect it.
Seeing as our annual premium is over £10k already, I'll probably take a risk.....

Ok, new headlamp fitted. Driven it in the dark this morning and tonight and the dipped beam is too high. On dual carriage ways I'm lighting up large road signs from top to bottom. Several people also flashed me as obviously dazzling them.
Is there any adjustment or calibration on the xenons?11 RR 4.4 TDV8
