So..... car off today on a low loader to a bodyshop in Exeter for repairs to paint blemishes/replacement rear roof light... Lets hope it comes back looking good.....
Courtesy car is a dark red Disco '65 plate but with no ad blue - bit strange I'm thinking? Also missing is the front eyelet cover ..... would this be the one you had and 'misplaced' Mr Red Merie? This one also has a slight rattle in the drivers door pillar ..... so it may well be 'they all do that sir'?.....
Dreading getting mine back and having to go over it looking for dings/scratches and the 'new' paint jobby2016MY Discovery HSE - Black

Car is back (after nearly TWO weeks) and no..... not in good order! Drivers door still has paint defect and new scratches on bonnet and n/s wing
Box left in boot with shattered rear roof light - to prove they replaced it I suppose - looks like they had to use a hammer and chisel to get the 'old' one off..!! Broken door handle also with it?
Apparently they found a paint defect in the passenger door and repainted that....and replaced door handle (little lock bit). But they didn't do the drivers door!! ..... Its a nightmare..... that continues....
I should of just left alone .... and lived with it..... 2016MY Discovery HSE - Black

Spoke to dealership ( I had to chase up of course!)..... they are not happy either!! (thats one of the problems buying a car from a dealer that doesn't have an on site JLR approved bodyshop!) ...... they say that it will all get sorted and if necessary they will pay for a professional detail when the paintwork is finally done.....
They are keen to propose it is not a dealer problem ..... but it is of course .... they should have picked up the issues in the PDI (wish I'd said that to them!! - will do next time I speak to them!!)2016MY Discovery HSE - Black

On the plus side, at least they seem keen to sort out the problems, so try to make the most of that.Andy

Not sure ..... something I have considered of course - was half expecting the dealership to suggest this at one point - but they haven't.
Thing is I'm very happy with the mechanics and the way it drives (at the moment) - much quieter and more 'solid' than any courtesy ones I've been given (I do use top spec. diesel .... not sure if that makes it so ....)... so I'm reluctant to reject at the moment (may be too late anyway as you say and the longer I leave it... etc etc...) - whats to say I won't get similar / worse problems with another? - better the devil you know? ......2016MY Discovery HSE - Black
