Not sure what the fix was on my MY2010 car, as it was five years ago now. I just know they sorted it in a single visit.

Current car is identical, just built in Feb 2015. It is a regular HSE spec model.

I will look into the seat some more this weekend...

Hello!

I have the same problem, but the movement comes more from the main rail of the seat.

But i wonder if i need to change the rails, the electric engine, or if it is possible to fix the problem with a kit or a trick...

Here is a list of parts, in case of... http://www.rimmerbros.co.uk/Item--i-GRID013308

(i have a HSE electric seat model)

Greetings

hi. so the dealer had it and did the fix that applied to the older cars (LR3) and it seemed to fix much of the movement. the frame now is not moving anymore but when I drive while there is a improvement there is still some small play left. This is less noticeable but I think its due to the cushion not being as tight onto the frame as it could be. Its really odd. I'm not sure if there is any other way to tighten the cushion down. I guess for now I can't spend that much more time driving back and forth to the dealer on this but its gone from major annoying to mild annoying. I'll give it a few weeks to see how things pan out.

what's everyone else doing?

I did sit in another 2015 LR4 on the lot (HSE type) and it was the same. the frame was solid but there was wiggle in the seat cushion that you can play and feel with. This is not present on the RR sports or the evoque albeit with different seats but goes to show you the difference.

I had it on my MY08 D3 and cured it by chopping it in for an MY14 D4 last weekend! Laughing

So you have a Disco4 and it is free of seat problem?

Most people say it is the same on the D4...

Maybe just have to change the seat inclination system in that case!

I have the same problem here both driver and passenger seats. Mine is 2015 model HSE Lux manufactrured in May 2015, I bought it in Oct, 2015. Dealer ordered the frame for the driver's side (still waiting for the part), changed cable for passenger side ( still feel wiggle after repair). I am going to have them look into passenger side again when the driverside part comes in. the other problem of my LR4 is the alignment. when the first day i bought it, the steering wheel is off the centre to left. I told the dealer to check it but they insisted the alignment was right and its centred. Come on!!! they all seem BLINDed. its obviously NOT. then they finally did the alignment after i keep visiting them. GUESS WHAT??? this time the steering wheel still off the centre but to right... I have no word to say now, i really doubt them they can't even do proper alignment. i have no hope they can fix this seats movement problem Big Cry Big Cry Big Cry

you just have to follow the right topic, LandRover have a solution, you just have a bad garage Wink

this is a common problem and easy to fix, do it you self, evreything is better if you do it right.

Here is the solution: http://www.rangerovers.net/forum/attachmen...atrock.pdf

I had the same problem, looked for months for a solution, and now it is fixed, nice feeling when ou just feel a good car!

Or dit LR do this so we don't feel all the other problems that happens on a Land Rover? Laughing

For the steering wheel, just put it on the side of the window LHD to the left, RHD to the right, so you can think you are driving a defender.

it is normal on a defender Wink
