Starting From Cold
Hi All
I have purchased my first Disco 3 a month ago. I have a few issues with it, which I will run though you guru's over the next few days. Want I like to know, is is there a set procedure for starting from cold. I have tried it as soon as I put the key in. I have tuned on the ignition and sat there for10 seconds or so. Both occasions it will fire up in about 5 seconds or so. Is this normal. My previous car, a diesel Audi would start on the button.

Me too. Mine starts straight away after waiting for the glow plug light to go out. In warmer weather it'll start straight away without waiting.Darren

Hot or cold wait for light to go out and then starts straight away. No delay.James favourite hobby is writing in the third person.

Mine is taking a few seconds now to start (after starting instantly for years) and after consulting with DiscoMikey its looks like I need a couple of new injectors. Worth getting it checked through the diagnostics to check the injectors out. And of course your glow plugs may also be shot.

Thanks Gareth
Found the . It only eliminates with the other lights, which I assume is a system check. Would this mean that I have a problem with the glow plugs, or should I look elsewhere.
