Added some spot lights to my Disco

Hello I when I first got the truck I had already decided I wanted spotlights on the front for better light when on the fields etc. So I started looking around and liked the 4 spotlight set in the grill.
I brought 4x lightforce 140's and a new grill and set to work trying to figure out how other people had done it so with a lot of studying photos and asking question I finally got the result I was looking for.

And of course had to make up my own wiring loom to run the 4 lights.

And I did all this on crutches with a broken leg. Gave me something to do.

Nice looking job there Thumbs Up

Also think the Lightforce go particularly well with the light gaurds.

How have you wired them to come on.

I wired them up so they come on with main beam when the side lights are on. So when I flash my head lights in the day time without lights on the spot lights don't flash aswell. But I haven't put a switch inside to turn the spots off totally as I don't think I'd ever use it.

I can decide tho whether to leave the grill black or have it painted the correct colour green.

Where exactly did you connect to the existing main beam circuit and what colour was the cable?

Technically not legal under cons & use regs and more so given the wattage of the 140's with main beam ...just don't get stopped by a black rat who knows his stuff Thumbs Up

The C&U regs don't place a limit on the wattage of auxiliary lights as long as they're wired directly to the main beam. There's no need for a separate switch as well, although it can be handy occasionally.

What are the cons and use regs then? Never heard of them before.
