Popped along earlier, about 15 in the queue for defenders, a separate one for everyone else and I only had a freelander ahead so no long to wait. It was just a marker pen on the lights and front grill for the discovery. Two stickers for the window saying 'all property has been security marked'.

The police were marking the normal items stripped off vehicles when they are just parked up.
This is a much bigger problem with Defenders where the standard bonnet can be stolen in less then a minute, doors unbolted etc.
At least 100 Defenders went through and it was good to see the police being pro active

Was it you who said hello quickly before I was summoned forward? 
Indeed a big thumbs up to the organisers, any deterrent is a good thing to have done. I was surprised how quickly the mechanic whipped the grill off! Was nice seeing so many land rovers, and making me want a defender when funds allow!

Yes it was him but it was me who spotted the Disco3 sticker. We had a family outing. Bren in the black 110, me in the white 90 and Hazel in her 90

The black 110 alongside? Sounds a great family collection of cars! Tried suggesting the other year to my girlfriend to buy a freelander but she ended up with a TT  she does like defenders though so definitely on the cards for the future!

Yes it was me. I am normally on the Defender 2 site.
Yes some things can be stolen very quickly, we do not have a Discovery at the moment, but Barbara liked the look of the Discovery Sport parked up next to the police video van.
A Defender bonnet can be stolen in less then a minute, earn the scumbags £300-400 and cost the owner/insurance company over a grand to replace. Apparently LR incidents has dropped by about 80% in this area in last 12 months. We sell Defender bonnet security hinges and about a year ago we were selling lots in this area. Recently very few. Bonnet thefts seem to move around the country a bit or sales of the hinges certainly do.
