Extended warranty (probably Warranty Direct due to clear wear & tear terms. Less important if you do few miles)
Servicing Contract (does reduce long term costs if you want to stay with main dealers)
Backup cash for repairs
Tow bar
Tow straps & shackles (roll up and keep in side boxes in boot)
You asked for five but this is a frivolous 6th which I rate very highly in winter - Remote fuel burning heater controller

Ability to use the search function. Pretty much every issue ever known has been posted on here and the answer as well.
Use decent parts. No point in buying an expensive car and sticking cheap rubbish on it, this goes for servicing, tyres, parts etc.
Get a good garage. Some jobs are easy to do yourself, plenty of guides etc, however sometimes, there are some jobs you simply can't be bothered to do. Which is where you find a suitable mug to do it for you. ( see my sig for my mug... )
Attend one of the meets if you can, you'll find plenty of advice from people with more experience, people willing to help out, get cheaper parts and have a laugh.
Use the damn thing, they HATE sitting about doing nothing. They are at their best when in use and driven.

There are 10 types of people in this world: Those who understand binary, and those who don’t.
a large lockable box that you can put all your sharp implements into when things go wrong (and they will)
an understanding courier driver who will undoubtedly be asked to carry large lumps of metal (suspension arms etc) and wheels and tyres to your front door on a regular basis without moaning
also use of the above lockable box which your courier has the key too so they can deposit the "valuable" items you have bought for the Disco so SWMBO cannot see them arrive when you are out
a second laptop/computer constantly logged into Amazon/ebay/other online sellers with search "what i want but don't necessarily need " refreshing every 5 mins so you don't miss "that" bargain
and a bulk purchase of toothpaste as your teeth will be constantly on view through the continual permagrinTLO has left the building.......
