Just replace the iPod with the layen Thumbs Up Took all of 15 seconds to install (10 of which were getting the layen out of the box ). Just plugs straight into the 30 pin adapter

This is interesting Surprised , I was wondering what would happen when it needs to make or take call with regards to the two Bluetooth devices. But seems you have answered that ,in that it works a treat!

Do you think this would work in the same way with the plug in aux converter type instead off the streaming version you have?

I see no reason why not, only difference being its plugged into the aux instead of the ACM . Bluetooth connectivity remains the same.
I don't know much about Iphones but I can't see why this wouldn't work, I'll try swmbo iPhone with it later .

Thumbs Up I'm keen to try this out as playing music via bluetooth over my phone with Spotify etc is much more convenient than cables etc

Once I have the device installed I'm good to go!

How is the sound quality compared to using the aux in the normal fashion, as I find the sound much less than that off the main system and not ad good quality

Im also tempted to boost the aux signal some how, but unsure if an amplified aux would have any effect on the bluetooth sound / quality?

Using the BT over the ACM sounds exactly the same quality as that of the ipod over the ACM which is massively improved over the aux. I couldn't tell you what the BT sounds like through the aux though

Sounds great, in combination with ACM does BT4 enable you to change track on the steering wheel as you would with the ACM wired in the regular way please? I ask as I have an older thing on the same theme but with that I need to change track on the idevice

Thanks Thumbs Up

Shocked nice ok so what is an ACM? And how is it different from the aux set up ? Is it expensive?

Steering wheel controls don't work, have to change track on the device. ACM = audio control module = LR iPod kit
