Parking Brake shoe fittings help
After getting new pads and discs I have a problem after some broken bits fell out on removal of the drivers side disc. The bits appear to be parts of a clip / spring that should fit between the two shoes (see photos). Can this piece bought separately or does it come as part of the handbrake shoe kit? Strangely one side seems to be new pads etc and ones side dirty and old. Should I replace the lot as a matter of course as after a trial fitting together the brakes seem to not allow the wheel to turn freely and if I presume this missing bit is part the issue?
Feeling very frustrated as I don't think I can now use the car

It can be bought as a seperate part.
The car can be used without it, but not advised for any long distances. The spring is there for the shoe to sit against, and wear away the spring clip, not the hub carrier My D3 Build Thread

Thanks for the swift advice. Will look at ordering the bits on Monday and will have to talk nicely to my ex(its a 120 mile round journey) to come and collect the kids rather than me deliver them.
