Moab & Southern Utah 2014

Hello All,

We had a great trip down to Moab & monument Valley last weekend - it was great to get the old girl out on the trails. We had our last snow here in Park City a month ago, so we've been in hibernation, hence my limited posts recently Laughing

Anyway, trip was organized by the local Land Rover dealership. Had a great time - here are a bunch of pics:

Hells Revenge was a lot of fun, but the brush bar and tow hitch kept catching - at one point we dropped down onto my brush bar and pushed its mounts up into the bodywork - a bit close to the oil cooler for my linking. Shocked

As such we decided to ditch Steel Bender ("a real bumper basher") the next day to avoid pushing the brush bar up any more, so did a couple of easier trails. These were pretty good fun though - lots of dried sandy riverbeds to blast along.

German guy in the RRS was the funniest part of the whole trip - he head a leaf blower with him and would stop all the time to blow dust off the car. Rolling Eyes Laughing

Evoque did pretty well - it did not tackle Hells Revenge, to be honest it would not have fared very well there as you really needed additional ground clearance. On the 2 trails on the second day it coped well with sand and slickrock, but caught front & rear bumpers a few times.
