Awesome pics, thanks for sharing. I absolutely cannot wait until September for the National Rover Rally hosted by the Solihull Society in Moab. I have never wheeled in Moab before and haven't been there since mountain biking my ass off back in the early 90's. All I can remember is how epic things were from my 2 wheeled sturdy steed, I can't wait to do it in the Disco 3!

Used a shipping agent to arrange the shipping and paperwork , Southampton to Port Huenene ( Up the Coast from LA) and back Baltimore to Liverpool. This is on the RORO ferry mainly shipping new cars round the world. Just needed my V5c to show US customs to arrange temporary import , valid for one year. Outward 20 days & return 15 days. It was something I had wanted to do for 30 odd years, drive my own UK vehicle across US. Took about 10 weeks and did 10500 miles Exchange rate was $2 =£1. Flew over to collect car and back after dropping it at Baltimore. Visited many National parks and called in on friends/Family in Oregon, Texas, Tennessee, Virginia and Philadelphia . Also attended a couple of LR events on the way. I was going to a big LR event in Colorado but family issues meant I missed that one. All in all a great trip . I didn't have a fixed itinerary other the start & finish plus visiting family & events. Just followed my nose a lot of the time or if someone mentioned a good place to call , that's where I went. By the way the D3 UK satnav works in US with correct DVD. Local dealer in Redondo Beach (CA) gave me the disc when I enquired. Somehow I cannot see that happening with a US visitor in Southampton, although I may be wrong.
Very cool L319. I can imagine a some people at the LR events had to do a double take when they saw the steering wheel on the 'wrong' side.

The Steering wheel on the "wrong" side was very interesting with the general public, as many could not conceive sitting on the right-hand side to drive. Also apart from at the car events the only person who correctly guessed where the vehicle was from, was a German visitor who recognised the UK Registration plates. Also the fact the registration plate is fixed with Double sided adhesive tape aroused comment. I did call in at a LR dealer to get a small coolant leak fixed and found there computer system did not recognise a none US VIN., so it couldn't be booked as a warranty job ( although I wasn't charges) and I also wanted an Oil filter, again couldn't be ordered even with correct part number. Had it flown over from UK by Royal Mail, 4 days. The fact it was a diesel aroused a lot of interest which also meant I had to fill up when I could, as some small Gas stations hadn't got Diesel. Also the diesel nozzles for US trucks, is too big for the Filler neck. I did send a letter to LR when I got back, as the Warranty Book stated the cover is world wide, but how can any work be done if you cannot order the parts? I got a letter back saying my comments would be passed to the appropriate department but they did pay for the 4 wheel alignment I needed done as my rear tyres were wearing out and making a terrible droning noise especially on the freeway.
