front Wiper motor problem

Hi people

Hope someone can help, 55 plate SE, just under 100k, if I press the stalk down (fast mode) wipers work fine, if on intermittent or slow, (1 up, 2 up) they will either jump across or sometimes stop, I have looked through some older posts which talk a lot about wiper blades but I think it's the motor, before I go and buy a new motor, has anyone had this problem and what was the resolve, all help appreciated.

There are two relays in the Engine bay, mine tend to not function every now and then due to the relays not closing properly. maybe start there.

Does not sound like a motor issue. Relay is best bet with a stalk issue a distant second.

Thanks Dr Jones

Can you point me to the 2 relays, is there a relay number, a diagram or photo of the location in the fuse box, very much obliged.
