| Strange noise - not engine speed related |

Our D3 has a strange noise that I can't work out.
Taking it to garage next week but does anyone know what it might be?
Sounds like there is an aeroplane passing overhead (prop not jet) sort of a Grindy rattly rumble coming from engine bay or underside.
Not engine speed related - worse when rolling with no throttle on
Doesn't seem particularly speed related either.
No noise when stationary
No noise turning steering wheel
Just noticed it with the weather getting colder
Any ideas?
