Bus failure on multiple ECUs. Any ideas?
Last week I received my shiny new IID BT tool. After I got it registered I thought I'd add my CC and COD update.
Before the COD update, noticed there were lots of faults logged on various systems. I carried out the IP update and added CC to activate the CC buttons. After the update the IID tool removed all stored faults. The IP update works perfectly. I now have clock on the dash and don't have the FBH light on with the lights. Thanks Gap
The CC doesn't work however. The buttons are working fine as I can control the IID tool via the CC buttons.
I scanned for faults and many ECUs are showing bus failure. The BCU is showing 8 faults.
Here are some examples.
Instrument Pack U0102-87 communication lost with BCU.
Parking Brake U0100-87 communication lost.
Transfer Case system voltage low.
Vehicle Dynamic U0132-877 communication lost.
There are several others too.
Everything is working as it should except the CC. I can select low/ high range, TR is working and the suspension works on all hights.
Any ideas as to were I should check to cure these faults would be helpful.
Thanks.Freelander SE 2005 Auto.

Hi, I cannot answer your question, but I think you could help me. I have an up to date IID but when I put clock on dash I have the FBH light. How did you do it without? Thanks Vince

Did you have any switches on the steering wheel before you added the CC switches? If not, then you need to ensure you add the switches of resistive ladder type 1 Bodsys Brake Bible

I didn't have any CC ore radio controls on the steering wheel when I got the Discovery.
I've added CC and radio switchs, both brand new LR parts.
I would assume they are of the correct type.Freelander SE 2005 Auto.

Don`t worry about those, very common on those vehicle. They will pop up when the voltage is low etc... Since your CC switch work for controlling the IIDTool, I would assume your CCF setting is ok.http://www.gap-diagnostic.com/

Ok so I ignore the bus errors, especially as I've has the odd bong and HDC Failure pop up. If the CCF is correctly set enough for the CC buttons to operate my IID. What else would cause the CC not function.Freelander SE 2005 Auto.
