Ok. I'm trying to replace a sidelight bulb. This was a job in the past that required a screwdriver and two minutes of your time. Now I find out I have to dismantle the whole front of the car. Right that's the moan over. The problem is the two tabs at the side of the headlamp unit. They appear to be reluctant to come up any further than I can shift them. I obviously haven't raised the tabs high enough as the headlamp won't budge. Any suggestions will be welcome. Thanks!

Lever them up with a screwdriver, piece of wood or another tool underneath. Takes seconds. ____

You may have shifted them too far, there is a little hole in the slot that need to line up with the notch on the headlamp - it is possible to pull past this point.
Try pushing them down a ml or two at a time whilst gently pulling the headlamp towards you.

A torch may help to see the enlarged slot, plus does it move enough? it may need some duck oil in there as they can be stiff.

Thanks chaps. Job now complete. It was just very stiff and needed a few squirts of WD40. The world can now return to spin on its axis! 😀

I find a piece of string under the levers works wonders in getting them to budge
