B0096 Right Side Restraint Sensor 1.

HI, Im in a bit of a dilemma. Can anyone advise me on fixing the above fault my local garage who do my repairs have just eliminated 3 faults by replacing the passenger seat pressure sensor. But the other fault (which was already there before replacing the passenger pressure sensor) iv got is the right side restraint sensor iv spoke to LR and they have advised me to check the drivers side seat belt pre tensioner. Iv had look under the seat and can't see any loose or broken wires but I don't fancy 150.00 to find out its not that.
Thanks in a advance any help appreciated

Would anyone happen to know if this is the same fault as a side impact sensor? LR want £114.00+vat+labour just to tell me what the fault is. I'm halfway there but don't want the expense of buying 30,000 air bag sensors Sad iv read on a pdf file it is the same but it says it's in the passenger door I just find it strange as that's the left side and the fault iv got is right side.
Thanks

Hi, did you manage to sort this out in the end? I've got the same error code on my range rover sport with the airbag light coming on.

I had this problem. It turned out to be the wire leading to the pretensioner had chafed and was shorting against the seat rail. I insulated it and problem solved.

Hi, thanks very the reply. Are you able to take a pic of the location of the pretensioner or where I'm suppose to be looking for?

I bought one of this electrical contact cleaner from Halfords.

Thanks

Scotland 2005 Discovery 3 TDV6 Base 7 Seat Manual Zambezi SilverDiscovery 3

Hi

Does anyone have a diagram of where the restraints are? I'm looking for Sensor 1. I've taken a look at the wiring from what I can see without removing the seat and it looks O.K. Do I need to remove the seat to take a better look at the wiring / the faulty sensor?

I have the B0096 fault as shown on my Icarsoft V2.0

Any help would be most appreciated

Tried to take a better look at the cables and trace them all the way to the module under the seat, cables seem good and don't seem damaged. I can't see under the seat as I'd have to disconnect a lot of cables to be able to flip the seat upside down, I'd prefer to just try replace the sensor first to see if that will remedy the fault

Does anyone know where restraint sensor 1 is? Is it inside the actual seat belt pre-tensioner assembly? Do I just replace the whole pre-tensioner assembly? I can see there is a Torx bolt holding the assembly and the outer plastic trim.

Any help would be much appreciated
Many thanks

Just found this diagram online, I might have been looking in the wrong place, it might look like that sensor 1 is a door side impact sensor. Anyone know where I can find that?
