Iphone 6 on EE data roaming in EU

Went to Southern Ireland on Wednesday, subscribed to the 2GB 1 year data add on with EE (recently switched from useless signal Voda) could not get any Data after several calls to EE there is an option on the new IOS that is EU data roaming, this has to be switched off for you to use (at least in my case) EE data in Europe.

Hope it helps, EE help desk new to them!!

I must say as a side I have found the EE network a lot better than Voda/O2 no dropped calls missed calls that I had with the previous.

Data roaming is on the old OS as well.

EE is good for 4G, get it quite a lot of the time now

Not Data Roaming

No not Data Roaming, EU Data, there are two buttons, one Data roaming which of course you need to enable and the one below that is EU Data.

Not seen that before. A odd thing to add really.

Mind you I am not on the latest IOS. Do you have to text to add data bundles when roaming, it is a bit annoying to be honest.

just checked... it's there (5s / ios8.02)
Wonder what it does, as 'EU internet' sounds like roaming to me...

It's for using the iPhone as a hotspot while abroad, just a safety feature to insure you now that it's on or off as it could work out costly.
