Ordered mine at 08:27 on the site using Safari on my Macbook Air... not sure there was any jiggery-pokery going on aside form the fact they should have opened at 8am on the dot.
6 plus is now sitting at over a month's wait direct from Apple
6 is sitting at 7-10 days
Not sure if that's an Apple supply issue or a proof of popularity.....
Anyone dithering or not bothered can get a great value 5S... see my For Sale thread   MY15 DIY Black Pack (Better than factory and half the price!)

Handset upgrade for the iPhone 6+ 16gb on vodafone for me today was £150, no increase in monthly fee @ £42!
Happy with that, not sure i'll keep it depends how it stands up against my S5 but i'll give it a go

I think the extra time for my 'Gold' 6 plus 128gb is that they are hand made unlike the factory produced black and are 'limited'
Anyway, I have the best of both worlds now, use the 6 for 10 days then try the 6 plus that arrives and make up my mind. I was paying 3 £42 a month on my contract that has just ended so reducing to £18 (saving £24mth) saves £576 over 2 years to go towards the phone, so the phone is pretty much free 8) Well has cost me only £213
If I bought the 6 plus from 3 it would have cost £64.95mth (incl £119 up front), so saving £46.95mth = £1126.80 over 2 yrs

I think they were only expecting West Coast rappers to buy them and the gold comes from Biggie Smalls teeth being melted down hence you need to wait longer for the plating.... MY15 DIY Black Pack (Better than factory and half the price!)
