Where did you get the camera ?
Sounds like you have the one that goes with the surround system, rather than the standard reverse cam. TD4 Freelader ES

The blue connector is from the surround camera system .. It won't fit in the stand alone analog reverse camera
Edit .. Ignore that .. Didn't see there was a second page to the thred G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

I have changed the cable from a blue connector to the original brown connector, all I need to do is find the correct coax cable to run along head lining to screen which is the hardest task to make up a wire to plug into the rear of unit.
Also need to make a plug which connects into the rear to power up camera, so need to spline into the reverse lights and an earth wire.
Anyone know for sure how the best way to carry out this final part of completion to finish my add on reverse camera.
I have used all genuine LR parts. cheers

Hi, Just wanted to make sure and confirm, I have been reading through and noticed there are 2 different Fakra cable options with male or female ends and when listed they show for sale on e-bay but sadly most sellers are from china or poland!!!!
Is it just me can't us brits make anything any more!!!!!
Surely there's some one in the uk whom sells the right RG174 fakra cable.
Please can anyone help and advise which connector needed and the best place to buy from, also the length surely 3 metre's is enough!!! to run from rear headlining to screen.
Be very grateful for assistants.

If yours is a 2010 it will need the 2 pin (computer like) connector for the sat nav end. I think it was later 2012 on, that have the Fakra at the nav end.
The Disco3 shop will sell you a small jump lead but you can also make one with a length of coax and some smb ends.
Edit- length wise I am not sure. Use a bit of string and either do healining to front passenger A pillar down thru glove box to behind nav. 3m should do it but maybe 3.5m to be safe.
