You can be confident that all Approved vehicles meet the strictest quality standards. In the unlikely event that your vehicle has a demonstrable fault that cannot be resolved to your satisfaction, within the first 30 days and the car has covered no more than 1,000 miles from the date of purchase, your car will be replaced free of charge with a car of a similar specification or a refund will be offered.

Right....
Basically, picked up the 7000 mile D4 on sat pm.
Advised it had a new engine fitted by LR but no reason could be given for change.
On the way back home all was good apart from an occasional knocking underneath.
Raised it up & went underneath to have a quick look, this is when i noticed that the wishbones / chassis parts looked like 7000 miles old as they had been sprayed (badly) along with exhaust etc.
Investigated further & took loads of pics. Engine was new but all ancillaries put back on were brown water stained colour...... carried on checking then then grabbed some beers...
Sunday morning.. Back to Sturgess. Met sales guy who i have bought my last 3 D3/4s from and he was honestly shocked by what he had sold me. This had been bought in from LR direct as an approved vehicle.
He accepted the vehicle straight back and later today i will be in a meeting with the top suits at Sturgess to discuss the situation.
Although it will come under the LR 30 day warranty this is a totally different situation and they have broken a few laws set down so it will be resolved in my favour before i have to get Trading Standards & solicitors involved.
I will keep you informed of the goings on when i know more.
Vehicle checks came up with nothing. It must have been very close to an insurance write off as it has obviously been stuck in a flood for a reasonable amount of time.. Unless anyone knows differently.. Last owner from near Royston.. Anyone on here ?
