2015 MY wheels
I ordered an HSE on May 1st for September delivery, and I have just been told that I will be getting a 2015 MY I understand that the HSE will come with 20" wheels as standard, but I am wondering what style they will be.
Does anyone know?
Thanks in advance,
Ray

Oh dear, I was hoping it wouldn't be those. Reminds me of the plug hole in my bath!
I'll have to see if there are any alternatives.
Thanks (I think)

The photo that J77 has posted is the same as the one I was told I will be getting but not really bothered as will be taking them straight off and put my 19" AT's on as soon as I get itCheers Ian

I agree, I don't like the shape of this new 20'' wheels.
I choosen these on my D4:

So what will you do with the 20's? Keep them until you sell the car? Just wondering what I will do if I get another HSE. I will still have 19's with winter rubber, but would need to buy some 19's to put some ATR's on. More expense to add to a very expensive car. So not sure if I would sell the 20's, or keep them to put back on for resale.d4 HSE

I ended up swapping my set of new 5 x 20" rims (same style as above) for a set of new 5 x 19"s & £500. The 19"s are stashed away in a shed.
If the MY15 HSE does have 20" rims as standard, then I'd stash them until it's time to sell/trade in. I'd want to keep it as original HSE spec.
I run Pirelli ATR's on a set of refurbished Classic 19" D3 HSE rims. 20" rims are too easy to damage on & off road, plus I don't like the look of big rims/low profile tyres on the D3/4.
Ideally, I'd have a set of 18" Compomotive rims and ATR's on the D4.2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE
2010 D4 HSE (A bit bling)-GONE
2014 D4 HSE (Almost too bling)-GONE
2015 D4 HSE (A heated what?)-GONE
2016 D4 Landmark (Written Off)-GONE
2016 D4 Landmark (Surely the last!) PD1881 rims-GONE

Yep, think I will do the same.
Bit annoying to end up buying yet another set of wheels, and eating the depreciation on the 20' s.
Looks like 19's could stay in demand for a while yet - I think the first set I bought (D3HSE) are the only thing I have ever owned that has gone up in value! Will start keeping an eye out for another set!d4 HSE

Good to hear some opinions, thanks.
Disco68 - I also prefer the wheels that you have, but for some reason they are an extra £1,015. On the HSE Lux, the situation is reversed, and the wheels that are standard on the HSE are an extra £1,015.
I really don't understand this. Does anyone know the reason?

I thought about buying some extras wheels as well, and keeping the originals to one side, but I think there may be problems with the tyre pressure monioring sensors, which are attached to the wheels.
Does anyone know if these can easily be transferred to alternative wheels?
Thanks,
Ray

Not sure whether they can be transferred between wheels but I have a spare set of the transmitters for my spare wheels so it shouldn't cause any problems with the TPMS Cheers Ian
