new to disco 3
hi all
i have came across your forum and i am looking to get a disco 3 05/55 plate
can you tell me what miles to the gal they do is it in the early 20 miles to the gal or the 30 miles to the gal .
and what do i look out for to get a good one
any help will be much appreciated.

That would depend on what driving you are doing,some get 18-20 around town others get 20-22 around town,on a run some will get 26-28 others will get 30-32.
It all really depends on the car,driving style,tyres and types of road.
I currently get 20-22 around town and 28 on a run,but I have seen 31 on a run with my summer tyres on.

Well that is me now a disco 3 owner . I have just went and got a 2008 disco se in black and pick it up on Tuesday .

Assume 25mpg over time. You'll get better (best I've had is 36.2mpg) and you'll get worse (worst 12.something mpg). It gets better when it's warm & worse when it's cold. If a D3 owner can't cope with that then they're driving the wrong set of wheels.
Oh and ignore the trip comp, it typicaly lies between 5 & 2 mpg. Only real guide is fuel in vs miles driven.

Mine has averaged 26.2mpg over the last 5k miles
