Right... how do you get these things off? Removed the screw (rear offside), tried lifting upwards with those plastic levers used for trim and dashboard removal etc, no joy, didn't want to come off at all.

Don't want to scratch bodywork etc. Nothing on YouTube. Anyone can help?

Once the screw or screws are out, they just pull up.
You're not trying hard enough Rolling Eyes
Drop the window, get a good grip and pull. Thumbs Up

Once the tension is released by dropping the window an inch or so they should lift up by hand. Tools should not be required.

Ah Cato, the old 'lifting of the window trick' Thumbs Up

Now I see Embarassed

And now I see some bubbling rust on the bodywork Banging Head

thanks!

Is it the bodywork that is rusting and bubbling or is it the trim. If it's the body how do you treat the rust?

It's the trim, don't panic.
Replace it, problem solved.

Now I've put up with this problem for over a year now. My fronts are getting bigger and my rears are now starting to bubble. I live in Warrington. Anybody know of any local suppliers to my area. I require all 4 Cheers Ant

johnny585, likehood of bodywork rusting is remote due to makeup of doors and general good quality of paint, the rust is inside the rubber trim or you are really one unlucky sod.

I have heard rust can happen if the door trim isn't replaced when it starts to bubble.
