Parking Sensor problem (The missing Control Box)
Hi, everyone,
I have a 2006 TDV6 7 seater (base).
I wanted to fit front parking sensors, so checked for the wiring behind the drivers headlight.
Fogs and parking sensor plugs where there. However, I have just realised, that the rear sensors are some after market ones. I have had a look in the correct places for the pdc controller, but can't find it.
My question is, If the wiring for the fronts are there, why is there no wiring for the rears and control box?
Could the wiring be tucked away somewhere?
Does the front pdc cable connector only run to pillar 'C'?
Would it be possible to fit rear sensor cabling and cables to the computer?
Lots of questions I know, but I'm really confused with it.

Hi, Johnny,
I used ebay and a Land Rover Breakers. The PDC module and sounder I got, had the connectors and about 100mm of wire still connected. Rear bumper wiring, you can still get from Land Rover, in car loom, I had to make. The Bus and the front sensor disable switch wiring, I connected to socket C-1166, this is passenger footwell, right hand drive. Enable it in the CCF, away we go, The wife now hates it,,Ha.
Bit of a ball ache, but all done now..

Hi dale,
Thanks for getting back to me. I have recently taken the bar cover off to investigate the loom and plugs and there seems to be very little there!! Could you have a look at the pictures and tell me if it's the same as yours as I really want to do the mod but am abit unsure?? If possible would you happen to have any pics??

1.st one, I do not know.
2.nd picture is Crash sensor, dont play with that..
3.rd picture is canbus for the vehicle.. dont play with that
4.th is pdc connector for front sensors

It's easier to fit front and rear cameras with a gvif It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,

I was just about to buy a parking aid module but have noticed there's a few different numbered ones?? Are they all the same as I havnt got one so can't match it up??
