Solution for volume drop from Aux input
Hi folks,
I think this has come up a few times before but I've never really seen a solution...
When I plug my iphone into the aux input, there is quite a decrease in sound. I have to have the iphone volume turned up to max and the systems volume turned up quite loud as well. I have tried different things with no joy. I'm guessing its something to do with amplified sound...
Just wondered who else has had this same issue and how it was overcome? It's not the end of the world but it does iritate me!!!

Depending on what iPhone you are using.. Get a lead that goes from the dock to aux in .. Much better sound (ear phone jack has reduced volume)G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

This annoys me too, mainly because sometimes it works at normal volume but normally at reduced??
i've tried all sorts of variations of turning car on first, radio on first, plug phone in first but I'm never sure why it does occasionally work

You can get a headphone volume app or android and would think for i-phone too.
I used to record my mp3s at a higher volume before apps.“There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

Is there any setting in the radio hidden menu for this ?. Quite often there is a offset adjustment somewhere.

Wiggs - I've got an iPhone 5 ðŸ‘
Caver - Have tried a volume app but it's a pain
Think I saw someone before saying about a small in line amplifier. I think it's just Apple being a pain!!.. still learning )

Volume app on mine works well but I have an android phone.
When you plug anything into the earphone socket it has a arning and asks if you want to up the volume.
I use Ear Smart. A lot easier than getting a bit of hardware.“There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

You can buy headphone amplifiers for about £20 upwards that would seem to do the trick, that means you can still charge the phone at the same time.DS3 TDV6 HSE - Silver with Alpaca (old one) Gone

This is exactly what you need to get, a line convertor to boost the output from your phone to the aux in. I've been meaning to fit mine inside the centre console But haven't bothered yet.
