Its working well so far, had one on my car for a few weeks and it's being tested by another forum member. If I decide it's worth making some for other members, it wouldn't be until I've tested it thoroughly. This would be a couple of weeks from now.
It could be made as a self build kit, requiring soldering and assembly. Or a built and tested unit. I don't know what this would cost .... It would obviously be a lot cheaper than commercial units currently available.

I've got a sneaky feeling this FBH activation with the LR button, just might be available to D3 owners who've done the 1533 timer mod too.
I was curious to learn if the car awoke when you press the LR button as I'd always presumed it did and I think I've discovered it doesn't, well..............not fully anyway.
Car was asleep, I pressed the LR button and the dash screen lit saying "Follow Me Home Lights On" but the radio didn't wake. A second press turned off the lights and the dash screen went out.
If the car doesn't fully awake, it maybe wont take control of the FBH, so it should be possible to use the LR button as the trigger to fire the 1533 timer.
If I'm wrong on this then like a man in an orthopedic shoe, I'll stand corrected.
Has anybody tried this? Mods:
Front Fogs + Halos
FBH Remote Control
The 1st Ever RRS Modded Grill
Garmin Nuvi + D4 Surround + Reversing Camera.
D4 Steering Wheel.
Rear Boot Spoiler.
Twin Brake Lights.
Wing Mirror Indicator Repeaters.
Long Roof Rails
Make your own Narpy grill thread
I'm not scared, I'm outta here.

I can confirm my 1533 does not work if i have just activated the lights with the LR remote and the car is awake.
But i can start it with the test software any time, asleep or not.
I think I tried that some time back in this thread. Maybe someone else can do a quick test to confirm?
