Front suspension - sinking feeling
Morning all,
Front suspension falls during the night.
Yesterday's test was to remove the two fuses leave the car on off road mode, the drive is flat.
I measured the height and the near side fell 8mm in 6 hours the off side remaind same height. However this morning near side fell 69mm and the near side fell 53mm.
The bumper is off at present and I sprayed front valve unit which showed no sign of leaking.
So which bit has failed?
No faults, nothing in the log.

I had the same problem. turned out to be an internal air leak in the front valve unitLast night I lay in bed looking up at the stars in the sky and I thought to myself, where,s the f**king ceiling!!

I just replaced the valve unit after double checking all the air pipes back to the pump for leaks .
Got a good price from Nick ( aka TLO ) Last night I lay in bed looking up at the stars in the sky and I thought to myself, where,s the f**king ceiling!!

Spray the bags with soapy water. Any leaks will show up as the water starts bubbling up. If you are convinced it is not the bags, then replace the valve blockMy D3 Build Thread

Morning all - quick update
I stripped the front air block down last night, quite easy.
Inside was full of muck dust and in generally poor condition.
Using only warm water I cleaned everything and put is all back together and hey presto.
Left the car in off road mode last night with fuses out and no drop at all.
These parts are £80 so give it a go before you replace.

I've got the front sinking now !!!
No dash lights & no errors in Nano
Yesterday took F3 out and in the morning same thing (both right & left) in the bumps. When I start the engine I get the normal height in just seconds.
Any can point me in the right direction ? Could it be the front valve block ?

I've read a few posts now about people taking their valve blocks apart and cleaning them (always seems to be the front valve block for some reason... perhaps more susceptible to dust and dirt) and I've thought about doing this myself. My question for those who have done it: The voss connectors are supposedly one time use only connectors... are you buying new voss connectors, reusing the old ones, or somehow disassembling and cleaning the valve block without taking the tubes off?

I took mine apart on the car. I took the inner wheel arch off exposing the valve block, cracked open one of the connections and let the air out (took about 15mins) cleaned it out and put it back together. Worked for me

Finally sorted......
With some spray bottle w/soap did manage to find a little hole in the green pipe, inside the left front fender liner.
Quick fix with a Push In One Touch Straight Union Fittings 6 mm
All good now

Hi all
My D3 is doing exactly like the one in the video, I followed his video removed the fuse and over a few days its been parked up and the rear has remained raised the front dropped right down. The front has always risen a little more slowly than the rear, but the rear valve block was replaced about 5 years ago.
I'm planning on trying a strip down and clean of the front valve block, I know where it is just checking what is the easiest way to get to it and remove it, is it bumper off or offside wheel arch liner?
