Discovery 4 steering wheel fit on 3 ?
Hi all new to the discovery scene having just bought an 05 discovery 3. Great car apart from the steeringwheel leather has gone bad. I've been offered a disco4steeringwheel will it fit the 3. The 4wheel is covered in buttons and my 3 hasn't any I'm not bothered about them working just the wheel and airbag fitting on.

Yes it will if you want the buttons to work you can get a bit of kit from bbs Discovery 3 se gone
Range rover sport supercharged here:)
About £500 for everything, a heated wheel including heated clock spring from EBay and conversation boards from BBS. Boards are about £200 inc postage and extra for flappy paddle conversion kit The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything;
They just make the best of everything they have.

Russ, if your current wheel has no switches you will be able to control the radio volume, channels and select between CD player if fitted, from your new wheel. This should work as plug and play.
You will also have the ability to switch cruise control on/off but this will require enabling in the cars CCF so it knows it has cruise, with a suitable diagnostic tool, some forum members offer this service for very little cash. Mods:

Forgot to say but will the disco3 airbag fit on the 4wheel. Haven't seen the 4wheel yet the measure the size ?

Airbag from disco3 and 4 they the same!?

Air bag is the same.
My D3 airbag is in place on my D4 wheel I got fitted a few weeks ago.

Hello I've fitted the d4 steeringwheel to my d3 but can get it to work even with ccf edit any ideas

I've fitted this conversion but my cruise control is not working i think its be cause my car shudders at 50 mph torque converter problem of the fact it comes up with a bug F on my dash

What setting have u set ur cruise control on in the ccf diagnostics , did u have it fitted on ur D3 wheel please
Have u checked / changed ur ATF gearbox oil yet or added Dr Tranny in it , also checked ur props for any wear
Also check ur TCM module that sits behind the battery , sometimes water ingress or bad pins
More importantly what fault codes come up on ur diagnostic reader

You need to have cruise enabled in the cars config. You cannot fit the switch and expect it to work.
It will however work IF you had cruise previously working on your old steeringwheel.
You have swapped out the circuit boards for the BBS boards haven't you?
Or have you just fitted a D4 steeringwheel and nothing else?Mods:

If I remember correctly I set the CCF for the cruise to “ ladder 1 “

Currently fitted it and but not the bbs thank I need help with range rover wire if you can help to get seat working in a d3 also
