You could get one for free if you can find the skip in mid Wales that I threw mine in. First use and it squirted oil everywhere, original jack's back in the car.

I can't find the original thread  but I seem to remember something about a heavy duty washer needed to go on the nipple for use with a Discovery jacking point ?
Also what's the recommended axle stand capacity while we're at it......got a sump plate and a 2nd set of off-road alloys coming and think its time to invest in more than the standard LR scissor jack "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool,than to speak out and remove all doubt" ?.....what rubbish...

I have just got around to getting one of these and it works well, I did the mod on it as soon as i got it and removed the fork at the top and welded a big round washer so you can use the hole in the chassis to jack the car safely.

Maybe I was doing it wrong, not sure what I did but went to raise second wheel & it wouldn't go up (was checking wheel bearings). I had the washer in place. I took it out from under the car and "pumped" it by hand & it peshed oil everywhere. Not sure what I did to cause that but decided that it was fooked & slung it. Luckily hadn't thrown out the OEM one. It's obviously not idiot proof enough for me and glad I found out in safe & comfy conditions in a camp site rather than the side of the road at night in the rain with no mobile signal.

I'm awaiting mine and then I'll get in some washer/R-clip kits to suit  06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti
