Well I had a practise on my car and I've jacked the tintent twice with no problems, mine hasn't been altered yet and the saddle fitted well on both the Alko chassis of the caravan and on the car.DS3 TDV6 HSE - Silver with Alpaca (old one) Gone

FWIW mine was delivered with the pressure release screw slightly loose, so tightened it up before use 06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti

Did you store the jack on its side or upside down rather than vertical as it would be used? Where did the oil come out from?
Just trying to work out what went wrong so I don't do it

Right way up in a heavily modified "normal" jack carrier. It came out the top, I think. As I said, don't know what I did wrong.

When you say top do you mean between the first and second cylinders or the top?

Don't know, just it wasn't raising the car, looked & saw oil everywhere, pulled it out & tried to mop up the oil. Didn't see where it was coming from, was too busy cursing.

No problem, just glad I tried mine in a nice safe setting, I'd deffo recommend peeps do a dry run with these winches before needing to use tem for real.
